A wonderfully toned example of this popular early modern Proof. After a twenty year hiatus, the mint began striking Proof sets for collectors in 1936. SUPERB GEM examples like the one offered here are quite scarce and are incredibly RARE any finer. Very colorful, original toning covers the watery reflective mirrored fields and sharply struck devices. The icy, glassy smooth surfaces are clean and free of any kind of line, mark, or any thing that would distract from the stunning eye appeal on this exceptionally well preserved beauty. The eye appeal is spectacular. PCGS 63, NGC 100. The most recent example to sell in auction realized $8,400 in August 2022 and the current PCGS Price Guide value is listed at $16,000. EXTREMELY RARE in any grade higher; there are 16 graded finer and the PCGS Price Guide value jumps to $57,500 in PR67+. Cert. Number 46503723 PCGS # 6636
