FROM THE R.S.D. COLLECTION. There is no question this coin is a 67.9! It indeed ranks as one of the finest 1901 Proofs. Perfect mirrors beam boldly from all over. The mirrors also have strong clarity. A moderate and totally original mix of olive/reddish gold/blue/pale forest green/russet/magenta are swirling all over the obverse. The reverse is more a olive/blue/russet mix. Miss Liberty and the details are fully struck. The eye appeal is SUPERB! Only 813 Proofs were minted. PCGS 4, NGC 15, CAC 8. PCGS has graded only 2 in 67+. There are no auction records for this coin-or any PR67+. The current Collectors Universe Value is only $4,750. We strongly feel coins like this have become too cheap.
