The planchet is quality copper, devoid of the fissures, corrosion, and other problems that very often plague these early copper issues. This one displays an even dark, chocolate brown surface with boldly defined devices. Only close inspection reveals a few minor ticks acquired over the time spent in circulation. PCGS 45, NGC 8.
