CURATED BY THE REAL AMERICAN TREASURE Believe it or not, the coin in your hand is a piece of numismatic history. This GEM 1963 Franklin half may be a common issue in this grade, but it is encapsulated in the ultra rare and desirable PCGS 1.0 holder, the VERY FIRST generation of PCGS encapsulation. This distinct label was used for just a few days at the very beginning of PCGS's operations in February 1986, and features a white label printed with a very crude dot matrix printer. The cert number suggests that this coin was number 339 graded by the firm. The coin itself is a highly reflective, brilliant Proof with a dusting or iridescent white tone. The value of this lot is determined by the rarity of the holder. A dedicated subset of collectors collect these early iterations of PCGS holders and this is the most desirable of early PCGS encapsulations. Cert. Number 1080339 PCGS # 6704
