MEXICO. 4 Escudos, 1858-MoFH. NGC MS-62. Fr-77; KM-381.6. Richard Long commented in 2003, "The 1858 is an extremely rare coin". We can't find any offering of this date/mintmark combination in archived auction records and Richard's listings don't mention any BU, but here one is. As the grade suggests, minor forms of handling are present, but strong reflectivity in the fields and a strike that is near complete draws the majority of one's attention. Estimate: $3,500 - $4,500.
