One of the shortest lived denominations in all of American numismatics, the 20-cent piece was unpopular from day one, and was struck for circulation only in 1875 and 1876; the 1877 and 1878 were struck in Proof only. The present example has only the faintest hint of friction in the form of light lines in the fields. This coin has a distinct CAMEO look with a bold frost on the devices and reflective finish in fields. The eye appeal is nice. PCGS 11, NGC 2, CAC 2. This was the only one to sell, realizing $2,026 in February 2022. Great for an everyman set or collection of obsolete Proof type. Cert. Number 13759065 PCGS # 5304
