1864/1864 Indian Cent. Bronze. L on Ribbon. Snow-1, FS-2301. Repunched Date. MS-65 RB (NGC). CAC. The most dramatic repunching is noted on the 18, less so on the 6 and the 4 shows minor slippage. The obverse retains considerable mint color while the reverse has faded a bit more with light toning flecks scattered about. The strike is average with softness on the upper shield, but the obverse is crisp on all the important design elements and lettering. The repunching is quite dramatic on the digits of the date and this is the scarce L on Ribbon obverse hub variety too.
