- The Warn -- A Key Korean Crown KOREA. Warn, Year 497 (1888). Kojong (as King). PCGS AU-58. KM-1103; K&C-26.1; Bank of Korea-pg. 206, 381; KCBC-14-1. Mintage: 1,300 (suggested). A TREMENDOUSLY RAREcrown that trades very infrequently due to its suggested (and rather paltry) mintage figure, this near-Mint specimen is undoubtedly one of the finest extant, offering a deep gunmetal gray tone and almost no evidence of handling. The dragons on the obverse are presented in great detail, with their faces capturing alluring character and their scales well incised. Fort the advanced collector of Korean issues, or KEYworld crowns more broadly, this staggering specimen will assuredly generate overwhelming enthusiasm. Estimate: $20,000 - $40,000.
