- "1652" (1850s) "Pine Tree Twopence." Thomas Wyatt Muling. Noe-N, W-Unlisted. Copper. AU-58 (PCGS). 11.8 grains. Medallic alignment. This fascinating piece combines the obverse of the Wyatt copy Pine Tree threepence, Noe-M, with the reverse of Wyatt's Oak Tree twopence, creating an illogical muling. Off center 12 o'clock, the obverse is nevertheless sharp for most design elements, although those at top run off the flan a bit. Well centered on the reverse, with rich tobacco-brown patina to both sides. Provenance: From the Sydney F. Martin Collection. Earlier from the Lawrence R. Stack Collection, November 2006.
