- 1787 New Jersey Copper. Maris 62-q, W-5350. Rarity-3. Hidden WM in Sprig. Fine-15 (PCGS). 144.0 grains. Choice copper that is hard and glossy and an ideal shade of medium brown. There are some old, toned-over scratches on the shield but otherwise no defects worthy of note. A little weak at the centers as often seen but overall very close to VF for the variety The date and legends are crisp and the sprig detail is clear with the upper left of each of the WM characters visible.
