THE CENTRAL ILLINOIS HOARD OF RATTLERS A beautiful example of this date and grade. Mostly a rich brick-red color that is enlivened by the strong radial mint brilliance. Mellowing with just a delicate overtone of violet brown, this GEM has a fantastic look. A strong glass reveals a single fleck and a tiny trace of contact, these have no impact on the allure. PCGS 120, NGC 124, CAC 35. There are just 18 graded higher in the designation. On a coin like this, the APRs and the Price Guides bear little resemblance to where bidding will take it.
