A very HIGH END and incredibly lustrous GEM example with strong claims to a higher grade. A thick, satiny mint frost glows boldly on both sides. A swirling cartwheel brilliance rolls smoothly across smooth surfaces. Totally original and not messed with, this brilliance picks up varied golden shades when rotated in a light ranging from bright yellow gold to a deeper rose-tangerine hue. The surfaces are clean and free of any serious contact marks, and the quality holds up even under intense magnification. The eye appeal matches the technical quality--that is to say it is AMAZING. PCGS 163, NGC 159, CAC 55. There are 11 graded MS65+ at PCGS according to the Population Report, and about fifty finer. We sold the most recent PCGS MS65+ CAC example in our May 2021 Regency Auction, where it realized $12,338. The current PCGS Price Guide value is $12,500, no doubt a reflection of that auction record, but we should note that a PCGS MS65 CAC sold in our most recent September 2022 Regency Auction for $10,869. We expect this coin will bring a very strong bid as well. Cert. Number 45239110 PCGS # 8868
