- (t) CHINA. Chihli (Pei Yang). 7 Mace 2 Candareens (Dollar), Year 29 (1903). Tientsin (East Arsenal) Mint. Kuang-hsu (Guangxu). PCGS AU-50. L&M-462A; K-205B; KM-Y-73; WS-0633. Variety without period after "YANG". Despite some mottling to the toning on the dragon side, this lightly handled survivor is otherwise free from issue, and sports a tremendous degree of elegant originality. A great example emanating from just after the resumption of coinage at the mint following the ravages of the Boxer Rebellion. Estimate: $3,000 - $4,500.
