FROM THE GERALD R. FORSYTHE COLLECTION This is a MONSTER SUPERB GEM 1911 Proof! Tied for second FINEST graded at PCGS, and it has to be one of the most BEAUTIFUL examples extant. We LOVE the look; Mother Nature really worked her color magic on this one! The intensely mirrored fields are smooth, free of any lines or marks. Both sides are a blessing with pastel rose, teal, and icy blue toning that evenly dusts the essentially FLAWLESS surfaces. Wow simply does not convey what a STUNNING beauty this coin really is! PCGS 16, NGC 17, CAC 6. There are five graded PR67+ at PCGS and just a single PR68 graded higher. Only two examples have ever sold in auction, and we have had the pleasure of selling them both: This coin brought $6,169 in our June 2019 Regency Auction, a number that still serves as an all time record.
