With a mintage of over 10 million the, 1875 dime is a relatively common coin, even in Mint State grades. Gems are scarce and in this lofty state of preservation, these are very rare. Frosty luster blooms boldly below a rich melange of toning on the obverse that melds into the peripheries of the reverse. Some striking softness is seen on the reverse wreath, but there are no serious contact marks of any kind and the surfaces are generally very clean. PCGS 8, NGC 1. There are just nine graded higher at PCGS, MS67+ finest. The most recent example to sell was CAC approved and sold for $2,640. The current PCGS Price Guide value is listed at $1,250 and it jumps to $4,500 in MS67. A neat type coin or example for a high ranking set. Cert. Number 42764494 PCGS # 4672.00
