THE PERFECTION COLLECTION OF CAPPED BUST QUARTERS
A wonderful, totally original AU example from the B-4 die marriage. Antique silver gray mixes with tinges of azure at the periphery, particularly boldly on the reverse. Well struck devices retain bold definition, considering the light, even wear from its time in circulation. There are no issues, offering great surfaces for the collector. A great type coin that can be challenging to find totally original and without extensive wear.
PCGS 16, NGC 13, CAC 3. This is the ONLY CAC-approved 1821 in AU50 to ever sell in auction, realizing $2,820 in our October 2015 Regency Auction. The current PCGS Price Guide value and the CAC CPG value are $2,500 and $2,480 respectively. What a great coin for any collector.
