- It is immediately obvious upon first glance that this chiefly glossy chocolate brown specimen is a cut above the average example of the date. Mark-free to the unassisted eye with plenty of design details present. A glass reveals no major problems other than what might be expected for the grade; we note some faint roughness at the I of LIBERTY, but a loupe is necessary to determine this. CAC thought highly of this piece, as do we. Whether for type purposes or a large cent cabinet of modest means, the next steward of this large cent will enjoy this specimen no-end. PCGS #1564 Pedigree:
