详细说明: An unbelievable quality example of this conditionally VERY RARE early date Walker. Though the mintage was fairly generous, with over 4.6 million struck, a steep recession in 1921 and the Great Depression that began in 1929, led to the majority disappearing into circulation where they would remain for ages. In the Premium GEM grade offered here and finer, only 20 have ever been graded between PCGS and NGC combined! Clearly there is duplication in those figures! A thick, satiny mint luster is aglow with an unmolested, perfectly clean frosty sheen. Only with the aid of a strong glass do you find any traces of contact, anywhere on the surfaces, mostly hidden away from view in non-focal point areas of the design. Generally well struck on both sides, just a slight touch of bluntness of can be found in areas, but is typical for the date. The eye appeal is exceptional and we really do not see any reason CAC did not "bean" this beautiful GEM, it is a mystery to us! PCGS 6, NGC 10. The last two examples sold in auction were CAC approved; this coin was the last non-CAC example to sell realizing $35,250 in the 2016 ANA auction. The current Collectors Universe value is $50,000. Just two PCGS coins have ever graded finer, both 66+ and we sold the only one in our January 2019 Regency Auction for a world record $96,938.
