详细说明: This near-GEM is an old friend, having been offered by us twice before, most recently as lot 243 in our Regency Auction 40. Before that, we sold it as part of the David Hall Collection of Toned Dollars! This is a magnificent toned 78-CC that rivals those from a famed group from Bryan Sonnier, one of the original specialists in toned Morgans. Boasting swirling bands of iridescent color which rate a 9+ on our color scale; shades of magenta, emerald, clover, tangerine, gold, and violet tones boldly come to life as you rotate the lustrous surfaces in a light. Sharply struck throughout the design types. Were is not for some trivial contact on the cheek, this coin would have easily graded higher. This coin sold in 2015 for $5,758 and more recently for $3,290. We believe the market today is stronger for toned dollars than it was in August 2020 and will bring a stronger bid today.
