- 1830 Capped Bust Half Dollar. O-101. Rarity-1. Small 0. MS-65 (NGC). This intensely lustrous Gem is also possessed of lovely toning. The obverse is dressed in blended orange-apricot, pale rose and powder blue iridescence, the reverse with lighter champagne-pink tinting that appears to drift toward the border. The strike is nicely centered and well executed, both sides with razor sharp striking detail from the rims to the centers. Although not included therein, this impressive coin is tied for CC#2 from the 1830 O-101 dies with several other certified MS-65s in the Spring 2020 revision to Stephen J.
