1891-S Morgan Silver Dollar. MS-66 (NGC). Though the 1891-S Morgan Dollar is not a rarity in the series, its high quality and often lightly prooflike fields tend to highlight any surface abrasions. This particular example is a notable exception, with silky smooth, silver-white surfaces that are lightly prooflike and generally free of marks, especially Liberty's cheek which is often the focal point of severe abrasions. High quality and very lightly toned, this coin would find a welcome home in a well-chosen gem Morgan Dollar set.
