- FRANCE. Mouton d'Or, ND (1355). Jean II (Jean Le Bon) (1350-64). NGC MS-62. Fr-280; Dupl-291; Ciani-354. This "golden sheep" was worth 25 sols tournois and was accompanied by a half "mouton d'or". Well struck with nearly full rims on a round planchet. A premium specimen with full crisp legends on both sides, soft satin luster and excellent eye appeal. Estimate: $3,000 - $4,000. NGC MS-62.
