详细说明: What an extraordinary GEM 1875-CC Twenty Cent Piece! This is among the FINEST graded of the date and worthy of a top set! Somewhat softly struck obverse as is usual; the reverse is boldly detailed with a prominent ‘CC’ mintmark. Glowing frosty luster with pleasing medium gray patina and pale blue gold highlights. The coin positively screams originality and is worthy of serious consideration by the collector who demands only the finest. This odd denomination was issued from 1875 to 1878, and by the Carson City Mint only in 1875 and 1876 (the 1876-CC is a classic American rarity valued well into the mid-six figures, making the 75-CC the only collectible issue from the Carson City mint). The short series is always popular with collectors, and twenty cent pieces are in demand at all grade levels. PCGS 9, NGC 5. Only one higher graded MS67 by PCGS. Listed in the PCGS price guide at $37,000, and the last auction record for the date was in August 2015 when an example sold for $32,312. We can find no recent auction appearance for the present coin, and only 8 auction appearances in the last 10 years for the date and grade.
