- An incredibly preserved and totally original Columbia half. Clearly this coin was lovingly cared for since it was issued and was allowed to acquire lovely peripheral toning on both sides, from long term storage in the original holder. The eye appeal is very high end-the definition of a SUPERB GEM. Well struck devices, satiny smooth surfaces, frosty luster and pleasing antique toning combine on this high grade example. There are no serious marks and the eye appeal is sensational. We are unsure of what precluded CAC approval. PCGS 43, NGC 60. This attractive coin should see very strong bidding.
