- New York--New York. Undated (1837-1840) W. Gibbs, Agriculturist. HT-272, Low-151, W-NY-520-10a. Rarity-6. Copper. Plain Edge. 27.6 mm. VF-30 BN (NGC). Medal alignment. Deep steely-copper patina blankets both sides of this overall boldly defined mid-grade example. A tad lightly struck along the lower left reverse order, although to no great detriment. Microscopic pitting and wispy abrasions are mentioned for accuracy, although the in hand appearance is quite pleasing for a well circulated survivor of this challenging HT number.
